My personal thoughts: Broods consist of a brother (Caleb Nott) and sister (Georgia Nott) duo from New Zealand. I discovered them last year when they released a wonderful ballad called “Four Walls“.

They released their first self-titled Extend Play album (Broods) on January 31, 2014. They releaesed two singles: Bridges and Never Gonna Change. The single ‘Bridges’ was their first top 10 hit in New Zealand and also entered the U.S. Billboard (#25 Billboard – U.S. Alternative Chart).

Later the same year, they released the first full length album (Evergreen) which was released on August 20, 2014. The album featured their first two singles from the EP Broods. Two new singles were released Mother and Father and the beautiful Four Walls. The video ‘Mother and Father’ is the first time we see the brother and sister in a video. There was no official video ‘Four Walls’.

This year they released their new album (Conscious) on June 24, 2016. The album so far has released two singles (both on the chart below). The first dance single Free became their second single to hit the U.S. Billboard. The second single Heartlines is fun song that feels like pop, dance and a ballad all mixed in one. The video is great which features actress Rose McIver (iZombie).

Just like last week feature artist (Jarryd James), Broods should be an international sensation. I hope to see them touring more here in Canada and U.S. to promote their wonderful range of dance, pop and alternative sound.
